## About

This is the first duo concert featuring Rainer Honeck, concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and pianist William Youn. They will perform works by Mozart, Schubert, and Beethoven.

Rainer Honeck has served as concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra from 1992 to the present. He performs on the 1725 Stradivarius 'Chaconne', on loan from the Oesterreichische Nationalbank, offering a rare opportunity to hear the sound of a 300-year-old masterpiece instrument up close.

William Youn received critical acclaim from the German classical magazine Crescendo for his recording of Schubert's complete piano sonatas, which was praised as a 'recording of the century'. Active on major European stages as a 'poet of the piano', he has been serving as a professor at Korea National University of Arts since 2025.
