## About

This is a recital by violinist Jin Young-hoon, a signature artist of Nakdong Art Center who captivates the stage with explosive emotion and delicate technique. Like the subtitle 'Saying Yes to Life In Spite of Everything,' it was planned in the format of a musical drama that flows as a single narrative from beginning to end, inspired by Viktor Frankl's book 'Man's Search for Meaning'.

Starting from Franck's sonata, it captures a journey moving through isolation and tragedy depicted by Schnittke, Auerbach, and Messiaen toward the light of recovery, with Part 2 performed in an attacca style where all pieces connect seamlessly without pause. Lera Auerbach's Violin Sonata No. 2 'September 11' is a Korean premiere.

Jin Young-hoon has performed with Ensemble Modern and gave the Korean premiere of Unsuk Chin's 'Graffiti' at the Tongyeong International Music Festival. Pianist Bae Jae-sung and cellist Jo Yun-seo (1st place at the Popper International Cello Competition) will join him.

YOUNGHOON JIN VIOLIN RECITAL

Saying "Yes" to Life, in Spite of Everything

"A performer with the powerful ability to draw audiences completely into the music"

- Violinist Augustin Hadelich -

Captivating the stage with explosive emotion and refined technique, Nakdong Art Center Signature Artist and violinist Younghoon Jin presents a very special performance.

Deeply inspired by Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning, this recital goes beyond hearing individual pieces in isolation: it is a music drama that flows from beginning to end along a single, sweeping narrative arc.

Setting out from the gentle warmth of César Franck, it passes through the modern tragedy of isolation and darkness portrayed by Schnittke, Auerbach and Messiaen, and finally traces an intense journey that embraces its wounds and moves toward the light of life and healing.

In particular, the second half is played attacca, each piece flowing into the next without pause for deep immersion, and includes the Korean premiere of Lera Auerbach's Violin Sonata No. 2, "September 11."

We invite you to share a time of deep resonance and consolation that transcends the ages.
